Integration Day at Manuel González Melo School – Rincón, Puerto Rico
This week, Tech My School traveled to the west of Puerto Rico to lead an Integration Day at Manuel González Melo School, a public school within the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
We worked with 7th-grade students, introducing them to the foundations of coding and computational thinking.
Students explored a variety of hands-on tools, including OSMO, OSMO Coding Duo, and Dash using the Wonder app. For many students, this was their first-ever coding experience, and their enthusiasm and engagement were evident from the very beginning.
Throughout the session, students collaborated, experimented, and learned how coding strengthens problem-solving, logical reasoning, and cognitive development. We also took time to discuss the broader benefits of coding, helping students understand how these skills support learning across subjects.
The excitement, curiosity, and motivation displayed by the students made this experience truly special. It was inspiring to see how quickly they embraced new challenges and left eager to continue learning.
At Tech My School, we are proud to support schools across Puerto Rico by providing meaningful technology integration experiences that empower students and prepare them for the future.

🧩📚 A Brighter Kindergarten Learning Space (Canóvanas, PR)
Today, Tech My School delivered a colorful ABC rug for a kindergarten classroom we’ve been upgrading step-by-step — recently equipped with a Promethean Interactive Panel and iPads for student learning.
A rug may seem simple, but in early childhood classrooms it’s a powerful instructional tool. It creates a dedicated “learning zone” where the teacher can organize small-group instruction, read-alouds, phonics routines, and whole-class moments with structure and calm. Most importantly, it helps students focus, sit together, and engage with lessons happening on the interactive panel — improving attention, participation, and classroom flow.
Now, students have a clear space to gather, learn letters and sounds, and interact with 21st-century tools in a way that feels developmentally appropriate, joyful, and accessible.

Integration Day at Emanuel Centro Educativo (ECE) — Canóvanas, PR
We kicked off our first Integration Day of 2026 at Emanuel Centro Educativo (ECE) with exactly what modern learning should look like: students coding, collaborating, and building confidence, while teachers receive real, in-classroom support to strengthen technology integration.
Throughout the day, students in 1st through 8th grade explored the fundamentals of coding, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on stations using Osmo Coding and Dash Robots (Wonder app). Some students already knew the basics, but many quickly leveled up, moving into more advanced challenges, testing new strategies, and learning that coding is a skill you build step-by-step through practice, iteration, and debugging.
What stood out most was the student mindset: curiosity turned into confidence. Learners collaborated naturally, supported each other through tougher levels, and stayed highly motivated, several even asked how they could keep coding at home. That’s the goal: students seeing themselves not just as technology users, but as creators and problem-solvers.
While students coded, our team also coached teachers, helping educators refine their classroom learning spaces and strengthen purposeful, student-centered technology use that supports daily instruction.
This is what Tech My School does best: pairing engaging student experiences with practical teacher support so schools can sustain real progress over time.

Code & Play at Colegio Visual & Performing Arts Christian School (Bayamón, PR)
Today’s video highlights the student side of our Integration Day at Colegio Visual & Performing Arts Christian School—an afternoon focused on what we want for every learner in Puerto Rico: real exposure to computational thinking, coding, and future-ready problem-solving.
During Code & Play, students explored:
• Virtual Reality (VR) in learning — understanding how immersive tech can support curiosity, exploration, and deeper engagement
• Hands-on VR experiences — building comfort with emerging technology in a structured, guided way
• KaiBot robotics — advancing from basics into stronger programming concepts like loops, sequencing, and logic as students tested, iterated, and debugged their code
This is why these experiences matter: when students code, they’re not just “using technology”—they’re learning to think, to plan, to collaborate, and to create. That foundation builds confidence and readiness for middle school, high school, and beyond.
💙 Follow @TechMySchool and share our work across Puerto Rico. The more people see real impact happening daily in schools, the more supporters and donors join the mission—allowing us to expand free and highly subsidized programs to more schools across the island.

Integration Day at CEDIN (Guaynabo) — Coaching Teachers, Empowering Students
Today, Tech My School was back at CEDIN School in Guaynabo for an Integration Day focused on what drives real results: intentional, one-to-one teacher support and meaningful classroom implementation.
Throughout the day, our team worked side-by-side with educators through personalized coaching designed to strengthen technology integration, instructional design, and student-centered learning. CEDIN teachers are implementing multiple tools and systems across grade levels, and our role was to meet teachers where they are—observing instruction, providing actionable feedback, troubleshooting in real time, and refining how technology is used to enhance learning outcomes (not just “add screens”).
This one-to-one approach creates deeper conversations and practical strategies teachers can apply immediately: supporting differentiation, engagement, formative assessment, and stronger classroom workflows.
Then the focus shifted to students. 🤖
In the afternoon, learning came to life through Code & Play with Dash Robots and Osmo Coding.
🔵 Dash Robots introduced block coding through puzzles and challenges—students programmed movement, tested sequences, and debugged their code in real time.
🟧 Osmo Coding blended tangible coding blocks with an iPad experience, helping students build algorithms with their hands while controlling an on-screen character—making computational thinking feel natural and exciting.
Why Osmo & Dash matter:
• Hands-on learning that’s engaging and accessible
• Builds sequencing, logic, and problem-solving
• Encourages creativity, confidence, and collaboration
• Makes coding meaningful from an early age
Days like this remind us: when teachers are supported and students are engaged, technology becomes a powerful catalyst for learning.
